Paula heads the Corporate Department at Cedeño & Méndez and advises domestic and international clients on corporate and business law, corporate immigration and employment matters, and estate planning.

She is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama and AmCham Panama. Within the latter, she served as Chair of the Legislation and Tax Committee during the 2024 and 2025 terms and is a member of the Board of Directors for the 2026–2027 term. She also serves as the firm’s representative to Latam Legal, a regional network of independent law firms with presence in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Peru and Panama.

She is also a member of the Panama Corporate Governance Institute (IGCP) and actively participates in events organized by the International Bar Association (IBA), STEP and other professional organizations.

Her practice in corporate law and mergers and acquisitions has been recognized by leading legal directories, including Chambers Latin America, Chambers Global, The Legal 500 and IFLR1000.

​

Paula joined the firm in 2014. She assumed leadership of the Corporate Department in 2019 and was appointed Partner in 2025.

​

She obtained her law degree in 2011 and holds a Master’s Degree in Private Law, with an emphasis in Commercial Law, from the University of Panama (2015).
